FAQ
What is your photographic style?
I love capturing portraits of people genuinely interacting and connecting with their loved ones - capturing those "in between moments" that you want to remember. I enjoy providing a mix of these pictures with traditional family portraits.
When will we get our photos?
Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within 2 weeks (sometimes less, depending on the season I photograph your story). You can choose your favorites, download them, share with friends and family, and also order prints!
How many pictures will we receive?
Typically a mini session will have a gallery of approximately 30 images, of which you can choose 5 (or more, for an upgrade). For a longer session, I typically put about 80 images (per hour of shooting) into the gallery, of which, you choose 30. I take many more photos, but I choose the best and most significant photos to tell your story.
Can I bring my dog?
Pets are welcome as long as they are allowed in the space we're shooting. I love dogs! It helps to have an extra person with you to hold your pup, however, if you want to take any pictures without him/her.
What should we wear for our session?
Wear whatever you will feel most comfortable in! Everyone is different - some people like to plan out coordinated family outfits, and some like to wear their everyday street clothes. There is no wrong answer. One general thing to consider, however, is that very bright shades of red, yellow, or green, or neon colors can create unflattering color casts on your face that are difficult to edit out in post-production. I also generally recommend that people avoid shirts with writing or words on it. But that's a personal preference, and I leave it up to you.
What happens if it rains for an outdoor session?
Cloudy is ok, but rain is not. If it looks like it's going to rain, I will contact you the day prior and we'll discuss alternatives, such as rescheduling to a later date.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I'm based in Summit, NJ, and I do love to explore other areas. If you want me to photograph your story, it may require a travel fee - but send me a message and let's chat!
